The deputy children's commissioner for England has announced plans to pilot regional commissioners in the south-east of the country.

Sue Berelowitz, who is chief executive of 11 Million, revealed the plans at ContinYou's annual conference today in Stratford-upon-Avon.

"We want to make sure we are more involved in talking to children in a much broader way," she said.

"11 million will be working with the Association of Directors of Children's Services in delivering the pilots. Regional commissioners will have access to a variety of children's agencies, such as all school councils in the south-east."
