Norwich Union and the Citizenship Foundation have joined together to help teach young people about economic issues.
The insurance company has worked with the charity to produce an online tool aimed at 14- to 19-year-olds, www.payingforit.org.uk, which can be used in citizenship classes in schools.
The website includes a section called Life Scan that allows young people to evaluate the impact their life and choices have on society as a whole.
James Leach, head of corporate responsibility at Norwich Union, said: "Financial awareness and education are key issues for Norwich Union and we are keen to share our expertise with the next generation."
