Music to play big role in new centre

Tuesday, July 8, 2008

Peterborough's newest children's centre is to use music to help appeal to local families.

Opened in May, the Fulbridge Children's Centre is offering Music Makers sessions every Tuesday. These are aimed at pre-school children and toddlers, as well as their parents or carers, and involve musical instruments and props.

The centre is also running a Baby Song session every Wednesday for babies under 12 months and their families.

Sue Carroll, manager of Fulbridge Children's Centre, said: "These sessions are a perfect way for families with babies and young children to have fun while meeting other families."

The Fulbridge Centre is one of five phase-two children's centres being built in the city.
