Scott Mackay, 19, Paisley, member of Youth Parliament

I would campaign on and then implement the UK Youth Parliament's manifesto, which will be delivered to Downing Street on 10 October. The manifesto sets out the issues and barriers facing young people in the UK.

The manifesto is entirely youth-led. It all began in Glasgow at our annual sitting in July where members of the UK Youth Parliament from Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland came together to work together and produce a clear "to the point" document to present to key decision makers, influence change and, more importantly, get our voice heard and spread the message all over the UK.

The manifesto also shows the range of issues that young people are talking about and want to change. But this is not the end - it's only the beginning.

All the members of Youth Parliament will be meeting with local MPs and councillors to start influencing their decisions, especially with our three main campaigns - sex and relationships education, transport and votes at 16.
