I'm taking part in a project about knife crime with Rathbone called No Knives, More Lives.

We've had loads of discussions about knife crime and put our concerns about it in paintings we did after going to the City Art Gallery. We are about to hit the streets of Manchester to ask people what they really think about it. Once we've got all the answers we are going to hold a debate and broadcast it on the radio. We're hoping a local celebrity is going to host it and that the police and council are going to come along.
I keep myself to myself but I have seen arguments where someone's pulled a knife. It's scary. I suppose people carry one because they think everyone else does. But the more knives people have, the more injuries there are.
I have been out of work since I left school in Year 11 but Rathbone are helping me get into hairdressing. All the tutors are friendly and they haven't given me any homework -- yet!
