The Criminal Cases Review Commission has confirmed it is reviewing six cases of mothers jailed for killing their babies. It follows the review ordered by the Attorney General Lord Goldsmith after Angela Cannings had her conviction quashed because Professor Meadow's expert evidence was found to be unreliable. Last week a survey by the Association of Directors of Social Services found courts were reviewing one civil case of children taken into care because of expert medical evidence (Children Now, 24-30 November).
